Find Purpose

​This old gal…

Loved theater in high school…was a total performance geek back in the day…stretched her wings…many moons later…as the director…of the high school spring play…

Seven years…talented youth…amazing co-director…delightful shows…career highlight for sure…that co-director of mine excelling at costuming…this old gal finding delight…in creating colorful set…

Made it a challenge…to see how many random household items from Old Pink…could be given their chance on stage…to take on new life…and shine…finding new purpose…for that hideous old plant stand…the Moroccan tea set…the plastic dinosaurs…those rubber giant bugs…

And so it’s been…here in Little Cottage…that has no built in cupboards…or closets…those family heirlooms that had no purpose…but to take up space and be pretty in Old Pink…are now…the winners…

No bathroom cabinet…the award goes to blond commode…no room for bedroom dresser…let’s nominate…blue antique…for storage…TV stand lost it’s job…bring to stage…marble top dump find…and last but not least…the one item that served no purpose but to be in the way at Old Pink…the one item this old gal begrudgingly packed in the POD…

Is now the shining star…of the kitchen…taking on its new role with beauty…and grace…

Reminding this old gal…that purpose isn’t lost…when getting old…instead…it may just be time…for a scene change…
