This old gal…
Entertained that ghost story fan of hers…with haunted tales of Texas Town…picked up a book at HEB…and started reading… Thought it’d be fun to delve into local lore…but found it was more…so much more…than just spooky thrills…written by a historian…each tale was preceded…with history…intriguing history…of the people…and the buildings… So intriguing in fact…that one of us again…was doing the kid at the circus clapping…suddenly making connections…and seeing the town…through a different lens…dragged that eager man of mine…on a personal guided tour…explaining in detail…each story…how Ducky’s used to be a saloon…the steakhouse a theater…the origin of the chili powder sign…the mansion…where the creepy doctor lived… And so it is…days of fun…for no more than the price of a grocery store book…a grand adventure…can be just as simple as that…find a seed…plant it…and let it…grow wild… And this husband of mine...agrees...
