This husband and I…
Have resorted to a week of frozen dinner suppers…because packing and cooking are not compatible… This old gal…settled on Banquet chicken pot pies…love them…have always loved them…that grandma of mine and I would often enjoy some girl time…while snarfing down a piping hot pot pie…and they are still as tasty as they were 35 years ago…not as big…fewer veggies…not much chicken…but the crust is flaky and the gravy divine… That grandma and I…always ate our pot pies with a fork…straight from the tin…then I saw a friend flip hers over onto a plate…out of the tin…so the crust could be broken up into the filling…brilliant…I tell you…just brilliant… But being too lazy…on pot pie day one and two…this old gal dove into the tin with a fork…but left unsatisfied…because the prongs could not scoop up the remains of the coveted gravy… By day three…daring genius that I am…decided to eat pot pie 3…with a spoon…thinking that all that gravy…hiding in the crevices and edges…would not be able to avoid the utensil… But sad to say…the spoon scooped up too much gravy in each bite…so that by the end of the PP…the gravy to crust ratio was off…and the last few bites…were too dry… Credit is due…for trying something new…but lesson learned…moving or not…tired or not…do not deviate…from the flip and eat…PP method… And this husband of mine…eats his from the tin…with a spoon…so does not…agree…
