Thought she’d seen the last of the snow day…no need to wait for the phone call…group text…email…

No need to watch the scrolling names of school cancellations…on the bottom screen of the local news…

Always loved…the snow day…so magical…peaceful…tranquil…sparkling landscapes…no need to rush…staying home with the family…the smart…thing to do…

But who knew…Texas gals can have snow days too…the warnings to stay inside…off the roads…hunker down…weather info scrolling…while the news anchors talk…

And just like that…the thrill is there…the little kid clap your hands…there’s no school today thrill…

And so it is…everyone…every now and then…needs a snow day kinda day…a no hair no makeup sit around in your jammies…kinda day…a have a coffee…do a puzzle…read a book…kinda day…

Snow or not…give yourself some grace…make one happen…you deserve it…
