Don't Worry - Be Happy

This old gal…

Vowed to stop writing cat blurbs for at least a week or two…give you all a break from namby-pamby me…

But hey…mental deals are meant to be broken…had one of those wakeful nights…sleep…wake…go to the bathroom…sleep…wake…well you know the old people drill…

Began to pray in between waking and sleeping…two things over and over…please let Pumpkin be safe…please help that soon-to-be moving daughter of mine land her DC dream job…

Woke early that morning when one of us called to his wife from the kitchen…Come quick…came the words…and what to my wondering eyes should I see…

Don’t even have to say it…timid…wary…almost two weeks to the day…let’s just say apparently white fish and tuna won out over stubbornness…

And so it is…lots of lessons here for an old gal to learn…cats hold grudges…stop over worrying…without a cat you get more sleep and the house is less hairy…with a cat…you aren’t lonely…

And God answers prayers…even prayers from a namby-pamby obsessed cat lover…who…in between thank yous…will keep praying her other prayer…because between her cat loving husband and her soon-to-be DC daughter…all she really wants…
