This old gal…

Came across a mesmerizing sight…on a walk nearby…a circle of mushrooms…embellishing a yard…

Was drawn to them…their size…their color…the curve of their position…brought memories…the fairy garden fun…fairy lover me…enjoyed…in days of yore…

Snapped some pictures…avoiding the mushroom circle…not one…to want to trespass…on a neighbor’s yard…

But realize now…after visiting that Galena Irish Cottage…mushroom admirer me…should have run…run…like the old wind…that she is…

Because according to legend…a faerie ring…often of mushrooms…will draw an old gal in…compelling her to dance with wild gyrations…which may seem only a short time…but in fact…a gyrating old gal…may lose…years…

So whew…that castle strength of willpower…once again…helping avert…a catastrophe…

For this old gal…has no years to spare…and those friends…up on Iowa Street…do not have what it takes…to watch this old gal…gyrating frantically…in a magical mushroom…faerie ring…

No one does…
