Choose Wisely

This old gal…

Checked the time…10:30…checked it again…still…10:30…seemed like something was off…

And it was…that watch of mine…actually the numbers on the face of that watch of mine…were off…floating around…making the hands stop…

Because one of us…dropped it that morning when putting it on…it falling to the floor…with a smack…

Was sad…really sad…the watch was special…loved…beautiful…a gift from that husband of mine…and one careless action…one bad choice…ruined…a good thing…

Went through the could haves…the should haves…put it on over the bed…over the dresser…paid better attention…

And so it is…in life…sometimes…one bad choice…one careless action…can damage something we love…a watch…a friendship…a relationship…

Be careful…consider the choices you make…choose wisely…because unfortunately…and often sadly…what is done…can never…be undone…
