This old gal…

Could never get chili right…

Didn’t like the family recipe…one pound hamburger…chili beans…kidney beans…lots of tomato juice…too runny…too bland…

Forty years…of trial and error…trying to make it thicker…more tasty…extra beans…seasonings…tomato sauces…but the results…not quite there…

The most current combo…pound of hamburger…chili beans…jar of black bean and corn salsa…tomatoes…tomato juice…tasty…but still something missing…

And then…that sous chef of mine…chili fan…chili expert…chili eater extraordinaire…insisting…on more hamburger…two pounds…to be exact…

And there it was…the answer…as simple as that…the extra beef…elevating this old gal’s chili…to her version…of Michelin standards…

And so it is…in life…some answers…may be hard to find…need patience…maybe even require…an expert opinion…and in this case…

That chili loving man of mine…agrees…
