Celebrated Valentine’s Day at Golden Corral…one of us obsessed with the buffet…the meats…so many meats…hours to sit…and eat meat…

Tried the one in Iowa…let’s just say…no two Corral’s are created the same…that one…was not golden…filthy…yes…poor food…again yes…

So this Texas one is a treat…and has never let these old folks down…who like that bit on the Seinfeld Show…always go for…the early bird special…

Which this Valentine of mine innocently refers to as…the bluebird special…and refers to any couple over the age of…well over the age…as bluebirds…

Lots of bluebirds here today…he’ll say…or look at those bluebirds get dessert…he’ll point out…chuckling that old man chuckle while biting into yet another…crispy chicken leg…

And that’s when the heart of that bluebird of his…smiles…

Because it’s these things…these one of a kind…unique…ridiculously silly things…that our people do…that our people say…that make what we are…who we are…special…

Those things…from those we love…we will never forget…no matter how old we are…even in bluebird years…
