Celebrate The Little Things

​This old gal…

Finally felt…like she was in the club…the Harry Potter Club…saw an ad…which made her laugh…Serious Black Friday savings…so witty…so clever…a reference to that series…that would have gone right over her head otherwise…had to share it with her fellow readers…those who have waited so long…for this mother of theirs…to jump on the band wagon…

Have to admit…it took the entire first year of retirement…to read the first five books in the series…each one seemed to drag…so many elements…characters…seemingly random things…little did reader me know…that all these gazillion little tidbits…fall into place…in the last two books…of which…this old gal…could not put down…

Hadn’t stayed up reading til midnight…for years…hadn’t been out shopping wishing to be home reading instead…for years…hadn’t read a series…where when the last page is read…that hollow feeling is there…wondering whatever will you do now…to fill your time…

Not one to ever read a book more than once…it’s easy to see why…that daughter of mine has read the series so many times…you want to go back…with new eyes…see what pieces fit…that didn’t fit before…and this old gal…just might take the reading trek again…one day…

Til then…those girls of mine and I…celebrate this feat of accomplishment…with amusement…the finished promise…dragged out for years…but completed…with love…
