Facetimed that DC daughter while those travelers travelled…older sister…wife…dog mom…the one waiting for them on the other side…

Her enthusiasm palpable…her excitement contagious…had the guest room ready…a gift tray full of goodies…the cutest little banner saying welcome home…

And mama me felt a little ashamed…just a little…for feeling sad about her little girl moving so far away…because this…is exactly what that older sister of hers deserves…

In fact it’s something both of those girls deserve…a sister…a ten minute walk down the block sister…a meet for coffee sister…babysit the pets sister…hang out and do crafts sister…

Family that knows you…gets you…grew up with you…years and years sister me never missed a week without seeing that pizza making brother of hers…

Can’t imagine having it any other way…and soon for those ladies of mine…neither will they…
