Mama me…

Always has the best time on the birthday sleepover but have to say this trip was the GOAT to date…

Last year Sunshine Girl didn’t feel well…had lost a lot of weight…was testing for this and that…a year later…there’s a pep in her step…her get up and go obviously back…

And those worries a mama has…is she happy…is she healthy…can she survive without helicopter parent me helicoptering?…dissipated a bit…

Did a little clothes shopping…not always a favorite for Sunshine Girl…a late bloomer…not easy for preteens…that self doubt hard to shake…

But there we were in the Target dressing room…she trying on elephant pants of all things…and suddenly we were both laughing…both beaming…

Because she was gorgeous…cuter than a bug in a rug…that preteen of mine all grown up…found her way…her people…her place…rooted in faith…growing in confidence…

Blooming radiantly where she’s been planted…and mama me…couldn’t ask…for anything more…
