This old gal…
Is obsessed…with the hydrangea…first noticed them in Ireland…those daughters of mine and I…visiting big sister…while studying abroad… Vowed to duplicate the splendor of those luscious colorful hedges…but that…was not to be…clay like soil…not enough sun…those poor plant babies…withered and died… Tried again last summer…give it one more shot…new town…new house…different soil…perfect spot for some beautiful color… Along with spring…comes brown thumb gardener me…watching…waiting…hoping baby hydrangea comes back…and lo and behold it did…thicker…greener…more beautiful than before… And so it is in life…don’t give up…on those little goals that somehow got lost…learn to crochet…read a book…take guitar lessons…celebrate the blooms…of a spectacular hydrangea… Follow your heart…shoot for the stars…get out there…and have fun… And this husband of mine…agrees…
