That husband and I…

Browsed a few Texas shops one last time…snapped photos to share with those daughters of mine…humorous items…items from the past…items that made photo-taking me think of that old adage…

Something old…something new…something borrowed…something blue…

That spiral notepad…days of old…sitting on the desk of that favorite teacher of mine…little-me vowed she’d have one one day…and she did—that very first year, on that desk, in that trailer in the parking lot…

But the spiral notepad was soon replaced by sticky notes…something new…handy…more user friendly…and years later something even newer, or more new…the kitty cat note holder that’s tempting, so very tempting…

And then we have Pretty Pretty Princess…a favorite of those daughters of mine…owned by their grandma…borrowed it often…spent hours and hours vying for that plastic crown…

And that comes to ‘something blue’…Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today…found a little block with those very words…take it along when substitute teaching…that becomes the motto of the day…

As it should be every day…for all of us…

Something old…something new…something borrowed…something blue…who knew—a walk down memory lane in an office supply shop…
