Be An Inspiration

This husband and I…

Were eating at an eatery…the clientele mostly people our age…

Each couple it seemed…was holding hands as they walked by…made a sassy quip about it…must be old people hand holding day…

Went to Hy-Vee soon after…sidled up to that man of mine…teased him about old people hand holding day…suggested we do it…

Knew it made him uncomfortable but grabbed his hand anyway…and then the giggling started…the walking lilt…gripped hands swinging…

Came around a corner and was stopped by a woman pushing a cart…you two…she said…are an inspiration…holding hands and being in love…

Had to come clean…well we are in love…came the truth…but he…is holding hands begrudgingly…

And so it is…in life…actions talk…people see…show love…have fun…be an inspiration…
