Did it…finally…kept a promise…that she made…12 years ago…that middle school daughter of hers…obsessed with Harry Potter…reading the series for the second time…gently prodding that mother of hers…

You should read Harry Potter…I bet you would love Harry Potter…I wish you would read Harry Potter…so we could talk about it together…this mama of hers…promising that you bet…she will read Harry Potter…read book one…and that’s where it stopped…two years later…read book two…and that’s…where it stopped…

That oldest daughter of mine…prodded by her sister…reads the series…these two chit and chat and delve into the mysteries that only HP readers can enjoy…this mama of theirs…still promising…that she will do it…read them…get it done…and that’s where it stops…

Til ten years later…

Retirement me…makes it the first goal of her new found freedom…the memories of that littlest girl of mine…sitting all curled up under a blanket…on the chaise…engrossed…enthralled…those girls…never asking for things…never expecting more than this mom could give…Little Ginger asking for this one thing…this one simple thing…

Please mom…come along…go on this journey with me…share with me this thing I find so exciting…intriguing…enjoyable…
