Enjoyed a few days with that birthday girl…celebrated with barbecue…had coffee at her favorite coffee shop…savored that pizza treat that traveled 300 miles…time with her…is always special…unique…fun…time with her…doesn’t need to be fancy…it’s just mother and daughter time…doing mother and daughter things…

Heard about her new job…saw the buildings where she teaches youth…cleaned the fridge…tried the new vacuum…did a Costco and Target run…all the while…talking…chatting…laughing…mama me…getting to know…bonding with…grown up her…

Seeing the difference a year can make…confidence…resilience…independence…wanting to stay longer…wishing we lived closer…but so thankful…for the time we have…just enough to fill the heart of mama me…with the knowledge that this girl of mine…is ok…will be ok… and that makes it just a little bit easier…for this old gal…
